PRODUCTION DEVICES FOR ELECTRICALLY ACTIVATED WATER CONTAINING HYPOCHLOROUS ACID
This weak acid that occurs naturally in the human body is a strong disinfectant. It is non-toxic to humans and highly effective as an antimicrobial with rapid action. Hypochlorous acid is widely recognized as one of the most effective known biocides, eliminating all kinds of viruses, bacteria, fungi, spores, algae and molds. Additionally, it breaks down plant protection products found on the surface of fruits and vegetables. Hypochlorous acid is 100% biodegradable and harmless to people and the environment. It is an ecological and cost-effective alternative to traditional disinfection methods.
One of the currently most effective biocides:
- main active molecule: HOCl (hypochlorous acid) can be used at all stages of disinfection and cleaning
- fast operation (reduction of E. coli log8 within 10 seconds)
- elimination of biofilm and legionella
- microorganisms do not create immunity (> 10-year testing)
Non-toxic to humans, animals and the environment:

The device is ideal for water unloading of apples as well as for vegetable and fruit washing systems. Significant reduction of pathogenic bacteria as well as bacteria and fungi makes it possible to substantially extend the durability of fresh food. Additional action in the form of the breakdown of viruses and residues of plant protection products from the surface of fruits and vegetables largely increase the safety of so prepared product.
Equipment for the production of electrically activated water is used more and more widely, mainly in the USA and Canada, not only in the production of fruit and vegetables, but also on poultry, porcine and cattle farms.
It is used for:
- disinfection of chicken and pig houses by compartments spraying or fogging. It is not required to relocate the animals at this time because the agent is not toxic
- prevention of diseases of the digestive system of animals through the use of electrically activated drinking water (reducing the use of antibiotics)
- egg disinfection thanks to the elimination of Staphylococcus and Salmonella from the shells
